Resident Care Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and will be responsible for providing essential care and support to patients in various settings, including nursing homes and memory care facilities. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment while delivering high-quality direct support to enhance the well-being of our patients.

Duties

• Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
• Assist in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility assistance.
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly.
• Implement behavior management strategies as needed to ensure a positive environment for all patients.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Lift and assist patients as required while ensuring their comfort and safety during transfers.

Skills

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Strong understanding of memory care practices and principles.
• Ability to perform basic medical tasks such as taking vital signs accurately.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support patient needs effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive atmosphere for all patients under care.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
