Line Service Technician

Mountain West Aviation is looking for a Line Service Technician for our Carson City location. The line service technician plays an integral role in the company airport operations. We are seeking somebody with a great customer service attitude, who enjoys working outdoors and has a passion for aviation.

The main duties of a Line Service Technician include:

• Provides excellent customer service to pilots, flight crews, and other guests
• Greet, park, tow, move and marshal aircraft arriving or departing the ramp area.
• Operate ground service equipment, such as tugs, fuel trucks and shuttles.
• Fuel aircraft.
• Assist with general cleaning and clearing of debris from ramp, building and customer area.
• Assist passengers and/or crew with baggage/ cargo as needed.
• Assist with wing walking duties.
• Comply with all company and airport regulations.
• MUST be willing to work in all weather conditions.
• MUST have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• MUST possess customer service skills.
• MUST be able to drive stick shift/Manual.
• NO CDL or HazMat required.
• Additional job responsibilities may include: billing, collections, transaction processing, accounts processing, providing for and/or coordinating concierge services.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalency.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Must successfully complete the company’s training program.
• Clean background check (E-Verify) and drug screen.
• Must have a positive, can-do attitude.

This position requires moderate to heavy physical exertion to fuel aircraft and handle baggage. During the performance and duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing the daily functions of this job, the employee occasionally will work near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particle, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock and vibration. Line Service Technician will work with fuels and chemicals that may pose a serious health and/or safety hazard if improperly handled. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud and hearing protection is provided.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour

Full time and Part time hours available.

After-hours callouts with excellent pay.
