Tasting Room Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and customer focused Tasting Room Manager to oversee the daily operations of our tasting room. This full time role (30-40 hours per week) is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience, managing daily tasting room operations, and driving both on-site and to-go sales.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food and hospitality industry, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the tasting room, ensuring a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests.
- Manage and train staff in food handling, service techniques, and customer interaction to uphold high standards of hospitality.
- Assist in developing and executing tasting room programs, including wine pairings, educational tastings, and special events.
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and ensure that all staff adhere to proper food handling practices.
- Collaborate with the team to create seasonal menus that complement our beverage offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper handling and reporting of sales.
- Handle customer inquiries and feedback professionally, educate guests about our products, and brand story.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Promote a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership.
Experience
- Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in roles related to food service or hospitality management.
- Familiarity with bartending practices is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests effectively.
- Previous experience managing a team is preferred, showcasing leadership capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for local beverages is a plus, along with any relevant certifications in hospitality or food safety training.
