Nurse Practitioner
Mountain West Wound Care is a mobile podiatry and wound care provider located in Centerville, UT. We are seeking a reliable and professional individual to travel to home bound patients and assisted living facilities to perform routine foot care and wound management. (Will train)
This position will require travel to Salt Lake, Utah County, Tooele, and to our office in Centerville. Additional locations may be added as needed. Providers must have their own reliable transportation and will be reimbursed for mileage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with podiatric concerns.
- Diagnose and treat common foot and ankle conditions, including but not limited to diabetic foot ulcers, plantar fasciitis, bunions, and ingrown toenails.
- Skin and Callus care
- Nail trimming
- Wound Care Management (will train):
- Provide advanced wound care treatments, including debridement and dressing changes for chronic and acute wounds.
- Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Patient Education:
- Educate patients and their families on foot health, preventive care, proper footwear, and management of chronic conditions like diabetes.
- Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications to improve podiatric health and overall well-being.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and institutional regulations regarding podiatric care and nurse practitioner scope of practice.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Utah.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., ANCC or AANP).
- Previous experience in podiatry, wound care, orthopedics, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
Days: Monday-Friday
This is a contracted, 1099 position
Part Time is also available, paid per patient. Please note what you prefer on your application.

Pay: $145,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
