What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk - Full Time position at Mountain West?

Currently we are looking to fill the vital role of a fulltime Accounting Clerk.
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for various functions related to the preparation and paying of MWMC and related entities Payroll, Accounts Payable, AP vendor boarding, month end close, patient refund process, and various reports and reconciliations. These duties include data entry in Workforce Management time keeping system, set up and maintenance of employee data to include deductions, calculation of overtime and differentials, garnishments, and other adjustments. Prepares and enters time collection and accumulation and assures the accurate processing of payroll. Process payroll in accordance with QHC/MWMC policies and procedures. Daily processing of invoices, to include matching, sorting, coding, paying, and filing of the completed AP packets. Prepare and process various types of check packets in accordance with compliance policies. Prepare and process weekly AP cash flow in accordance with directives. Confer with vendors, purchasing, and other department personnel to identify and correct invoice-purchase order discrepancies in a timely manner. Obtain and process AP vendor boarding documents, oversee the review and tracking of clinic patient refunds, outstanding purchase orders, and vendor statements. Assist with month end close process, preparation and completion of various reconciliations, cost report, audit packs, and other projects as needed.
Supports team to meet intercompany goals and provide back up when others are on leave, other duties as assigned by the Controller or the CFO.
Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize to handle stressful situations.
This is a full-time, weekday shift position, requiring the ability to work independently.
