We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented OSP Inspector to support the construction of Fiber Overbuild projects. The OSP Inspector will be responsible for performing live inspections throughout the construction process, ensuring safety, compliance, and adherence to project timelines. This role requires a candidate with solid construction experience, a basic understanding of telecom systems, and a commitment to maintaining high construction standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform live inspections of construction sites throughout the duration of Fiber Overbuild projects
- Occasionally conduct post-construction inspections, but the focus will be on live monitoring
- Document site conditions with photos, communicate regularly with developers and contractors, and provide status updates to CPAs on project progress
- Carry out other field and desktop tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in conducting inspections, preferably in construction or related fields
- Knowledge of telecom equipment and OSP (Outside Plant) projects
- Strong understanding of OSP Construction Standards
- Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC)
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with contractors, developers, and project managers
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Valid driver’s license and availability to travel on short notice
- Required Tools: Personal Vehicle, Laptop (Windows-based), Measuring Wheel, Height Stick
