Join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Assistant! We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our facilities team. As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our facility's smooth operation and upkeep, providing a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.
What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs, filters, and batteries
- Conduct inspections of the facility to identify and report any potential issues or safety hazards
- Respond to and resolve minor maintenance requests promptly and efficiently
- Assist with larger maintenance projects as needed
- Maintain grounds, light plumbing, and electrical work
- Some custodial work, if needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
What you'll bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities setting is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks

Technical and Personal Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Clear a Background Check through the Arkansas Department of Education state and federal criminal records checks
- Clear a Central Registry Check through the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry system, a division of the Arkansas Department of Human Services
Compensation and Benefits:
- Schedule: The annual contract is for 240 days, 8 hours per day, with one day of sick leave and one vacation day per month of the contract, plus two days of personal leave per year.
- Salary: The salary range for this position is $24,807-$26,655. The annual salary is divided into 12 installments, so you receive a steady income for the contract year. Additional salary can be earned for industry certifications and licensures.
- Insurance: The District offers an excellent benefits package through AR Benefits Health Advantage plan options, with the option to purchase health care, dental, vision, and disability income insurance packages. The District contributes $234.50 monthly towards health insurance.
