What are the responsibilities and job description for the CASINO DEEP CLEAN HOUSEKEEPER position at Mountaineer Casino Resort Races?
SUMMARY
Responsible for the Deep Cleaning care in all Gaming and Public areas. Areas to include Casino, Trackside, Security and the Maintenance buildings.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for detailed cleanliness of all housekeeping assigned areas throughout the property.
- Not limited to: high dusting and upper ceiling cleaning, detailed mopping and sweeping, waxing, vacuuming, the polishing stripping and refinishing of floors. Operating a floor scrubber and buffer. Washing windows, scrubbing carpets and moving furniture.
- Work area will include but not limited to: Trackside, Casino, Security Building, Maintenance Trailer and Golf Course.
- Responsible for retrieving the new housekeeping supplies from Receiving and putting them away in the main Housekeeping supply closet.
- Ensure the safety and security of guests and employees.
- Must adhere to all OSHA regulations and local Health Department standards.
- All other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Housekeeping Coordinator then to the Executive Housekeeper.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
- The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
- You will need to be available to work all shifts.
- The ability to perform assigned job duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
- Knowledge in the safe use of cleaning products.
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not necessary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
You will need to be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. The ability to push, pull, kneel, twist, carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED
You will be in direct contact with various cleaning chemicals.
