What are the responsibilities and job description for the FRONT SERVER - LBV position at Mountaineer Casino Resort Races?
SUMMARY
Provide friendly and upscale dining service to restaurant patrons to ensure a pleasurable dining experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- An understanding of the POS System.
- Greet guests in a timely manner upon being seated.
- Responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages to patrons.
- Monitor guest needs for drink refills, ordering questions, condiment requests
- Assist with clearing tables and transporting dishes in addition to cleaning and stocking work areas and tables.
- Rolling silverware and other side work.
- The ability to work in a fast –paced environment and stressful situations.
- All other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the LBV Manager then to the Director of F&B.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
- The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
- You will need the ability to read, write and understand simple instruction.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- You will need to be available to work all shifts.
- The ability to work in a fast –paced environment.
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not necessary.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
Helpful to be TIPS and Food Handlers certified, if not training will be provided.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
You will need to be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. The ability to push, pull, kneel, twist, carry and lift up to 25 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
