What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUPERVISOR - DELI LODGE position at Mountaineer Casino Resort Races?
SUMMARY
Responsible for preparing and serving deli products to patrons, and assist Deli Manager in daily operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible to assure proper rotation of product, freshness of product and cleanliness of outlet.
- Ensure that all employees are in proper uniform at all times and spot-check all food items to ensure consistency of product.
- Assist cashier in opening and closing of register.
- Perform opening and closing checklist with all employees.
- Responsible for taking patron’s orders, making sandwiches, side orders and serving beverages in a timely manner.
- Keep the Deli clean and organized according to set standards.
- Assorted prep work as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Deli Manager then to the Director of Food & Beverage.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Prior management, micros, and money handling experience is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
- Must have the ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
- Must have ability to work well with the public.
- Possess the ability to operate a cash register.
- The ability to work in a fast –paced environment.
- You will need to be available to work all shifts.
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not necessary.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
Helpful to be TIPS and Food Handlers certified, if not training will be provided.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
You will need to be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. The ability to push, pull, kneel, twist, bend, carry and lift up to 25 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment.
