FedEx Package Runner / Delivery Jumper / Driver Helper

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to be an important part of our growing team. As a runner, also known as jumper or driver-helper, you will ride along with a driver on one of our delivery routes and assist in the scanning and delivery of packages.

This is a non-driving position with the potential to move up to driver if desired and qualified.

This position starts at $12.50 per hour. It is perfect for candidates who are just under the FedEx-required driver age limit of 21 years of age but are interested in learning the job and becoming a driver.

Full-Time day position - Jumper / Runner / Helper - Paid weekly, direct deposit

The ideal candidates will be able to deal effectively with customers and maintain a positive FedEx image while making deliveries, coordinating with the driver and managing area priorities effectively. The candidate will be punctual, self-starting and have a competitive drive. A sense of pride, maturity and reliability are key defining attributes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow through and deliver all packages safely
• Complete all pick-ups assigned to route within the scheduled time frame
• Deliver and scan every package according to proper procedure
• Meet and greet customers in a positive manner
• Interface and coordinate with the driver to complete the route as a team
• Communicate promptly and effectively with management on time with critical issues
• Important Characteristics: Speak, read and write English fluently (must meet federal DOT requirements for communication with law enforcement)

• Physical ability to regularly lift 50lb packages and maneuver up to 150lbs
• Ability to work in all types of weather condition
