Position Summary :
The RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes. This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination. This position effectively coordinates patient care / unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services. The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.
Position Qualifications :
Education / Skills / Experience :
- Graduate of a NLN / AACN accredited program in nursing
- 1-2 years Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification & BLS Required
- Obstetric Specialty Certification highly preferred †required within 2 years of hire
- EFM Certification Preferred
- Basic Fetal Monitoring Certification required upon hire, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required within 1 year of hire
- STABLE Program Certification required within 6 months of hire
