Nurse Residency Program-Labor and Delivery Staff Nurse (Bridge)
Pascack Valley Medical Center is searching for Labor and Delivery Nurse Bridge Program Resident Candidates to transition into Full Time Night Labor and Delivery Nurses. Pascack Valley will be providing a comprehensive education and training program (Nurse Residency Bridge Program) to nurses with at least 2 years of acute care experience. The Labor and Delivery Nurse Resident Bridge Program is specifically designed to transition nurses without OB Nursing Experience into safe, competent, and professional Labor and Delivery Nurses. PVMC provides a highly integrated and systematic approach to integrating nurses into our practice. This program provides precepting, education and curriculum, a supportive component composed of formal mentoring and debriefing / self-care sessions, and a 360-degree evaluation and measurement process. Pascack Valley Medical Center is seeking qualified registered nurses with the following qualifications :
- BSN Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing ( NLNAC or CCNE)
- Minimum GPA, 3.0
- 2 years of Acute Care Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) with Current New Jersey Board of Nursing License
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification & BLS
- OB nursing certification preferred
- EFM certification preferred
- Able to complete AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire
- Meets or exceeds all performance standards in most recent performance appraisal (if current PVMC employee)
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
- Demonstrated proficient communication skills
