We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Surgical Technologist to join the Mountainside Team!
What You'll Do
The Surgical Technologist applies advanced surgical technology skills to assist in providing patient care in the surgical suite while maintaining a safe work environment and performing all related job responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be able to :
- Ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure, and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field
- Assist in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior, during and after surgical procedure
- Monitor surgical supplies for sterility prior to use and ensures that supplies are used in a judicious manner, charges are documented / submitted accurately and appropriately
- Responsible for preparing the surgical room including set-up of operating room by sterilizing and laying out of necessary surgical instruments prior to surgery, assists as needed during procedures
- Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and standards
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned
