Mountainside Preschool — Preschool Teacher/Aide (Part-Time)
Job Summary:
Mountainside Preschool is seeking compassionate and dedicated teachers and aides to join our Christ-centered team for the 2025–2026 school year. We’re looking for individuals who love Jesus, have a heart for working with young children, and are eager to build meaningful relationships with students and their families. At Mountainside, our mission is to nurture the whole child by creating a positive, faith-filled environment where preschoolers can grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
Our positions are part-time, with options to work 2–5 days per week. Preschool classes (ages 3–4) run from 8:30–11:30 AM, and Pre-Kindergarten classes (ages 4–5) run from 8:30 AM–12:00 PM. Teachers start at $15.75/hour, and aides start at $13.50/hour. Staff kids attend free on the days you work!

Responsibilities:
- Create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that reflects Christ’s love.
- Implement pre-planned lessons and activities that support social, emotional, and academic development.
- Guide children’s behavior with kindness, patience, and understanding, using positive reinforcement.
- Build meaningful relationships with students, families, and fellow staff members.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings (12:15–1:00 PM) while staff children play together.
- Assist with Lunch Bunch (extended care) once or twice a month, where students stay for an extra two hours.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
Requirements:
- A strong background in education or experience working with young children.
- A kind, compassionate demeanor and a passion for sharing Christ’s love with preschoolers.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- A heart for ministry and a desire to nurture children’s faith and development.
