About the Position:
We are seeking a server work in harmony with the café staff and clients. As senior members of the food service staff, the server is to assist restaurant management and will also supervise, coordinate and train junior service staff. Food service duties include interacting with customers, serving, answering questions, informing patrons of special menu items and keeping the dining area clean and organized.
Schedule:
Per Diem, Varied hours Wednesday through Sunday between 6:30 am and 4:00 pm
Your Role:
- Greet and seat guests, present menus and serve a dining room section.
- Assist clients in serving their sections as needed.
- Participate in kitchen and dining area cleaning activities.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints
- Assist in training employees in service, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Perform various financial activities such as cash handling and deposit preparation.
- Compile and balance cash receipts at the end of the day or shift.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and collaborate with other personnel about areas of improvement.
- Present bills and accept payments.
- Comply with all federal, state and accreditation regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education Level: high school. College diploma or experience from hospitality related program an asset.
- Preferred Experience: minimum 2-year related experience in a guest service environment.
- Licensure/certification: Serve Safe certification an asset.
Compensation:
The base rate of pay for this position is $16.35 per hour plus tips.
