Information Technology Support Specialist

Role Impact

As part of a 3rd-party aseptic beverage manufacturer, the IT Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our network infrastructure, installing and configuring hardware and software, and providing technical support to end-users. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our complete IT environment, which directly impacts our manufacturing processes and overall productivity.

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Review existing network environment and make recommendations for improvements.
• Install and configure hardware and software components for servers and workstations.
• Monitor network performance and security in collaboration with 3rd party remote service provider, and support implementation of necessary updates or patches.
• Manage user accounts and permissions to ensure secure access to network resources.
• Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss and downtime.
• Conduct regular network audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of end-user devices such as desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users on device-related issues and software applications.
• Ensure all devices are updated with the latest security patches and software updates.
• Work with a variety of end-users, from operators to senior management, to address IT needs and ensure seamless technology integration across all levels of the organization.
• Manage inventory and lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement and disposal of outdated equipment, including managing ongoing equipment upgrades as required
• Follow Food Safety Requirement / Standards as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
