Production Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations and be proficient in using various methods of production. As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee lab and logistics processes, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high-quality standards. Your mathematical knowledge and ability to build new processes will be essential in driving efficiency and productivity within the manufacturing division.

Responsibilities

· Ability to assemble and manage a small team successfully

• Supervise daily production activities on the assembly line, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate workflow and manage resources effectively to meet production schedules.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance as needed.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools for various tasks, ensuring proper use and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance to management.
• Collaborate with other departments, including quality control and logistics, to optimize operations.

· Production Process Optimization:

· Identify and implement improvements to production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

· Monitor production output and identify areas for improvement.

· Ensure adherence to production schedules and timelines.

· Quality Control:

· Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet required standards.

· Identify and address any quality issues or defects.

· Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

· Operate and maintain production equipment, machinery, and tools safely and effectively.

· Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.

· Packaging and Shipping:

· Prepare products for packaging and shipping, ensuring proper labeling and handling.

· Complete packaging tasks such as auto-bagging, box assembly, and taping.

· Inventory Management:

· Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring adequate supplies for production.

· Participate in inventory counts and reconciliations.

· Communication and Collaboration:

· Communicate effectively with other team members, supervisors, and stakeholders.

· Document production activities and data accurately.

· Safety Compliance:

· Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures in the workplace.

· Promote a safe working environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role within past employment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools, forklifts, and hand tools effectively.
• Experience working in an packaging environment is preferred but not required.
• Excellent self starter with leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Familiarity with fulfillment and packaging operations is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
