Job Title: Landscape Maintenance Worker
Reports to: Installation & Landscape Manager, HOA & Property Manager, and Executive Director of Golf Course Operations & Horticulture
Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary: The Landscaping Maintenance Member job responsibilities include but are not limited to planting flowers/shrubs/trees, mowing, weed eating, edging, pruning, weed control, leaf removal, fertilizer applications, and assisting in large landscape installation projects. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, disciplined, focused, and punctual with experience in general manual labor, landscaping, or a related field. You will need the fortitude to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
The Landscape department at Mountaintop provides customer service to over 100 private homes within the community in addition to service for the Club and Homeowners Association. Our mission within the landscaping department is to enrich natural beauty in the residential setting, while conserving our areas’ Appalachian roots. We strive daily to provide a top-notch landscaping service for our members using high quality materials.
Essential Duties:
- Ability to work as a part of a team to complete goals
- Perform physical labor daily
- Interact with members, coworkers, and others professionally
- Work hard and maintain a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Arrive at work on time
- Grading, drainage and installing hardscapes
- Mowing, edging and fertilizing lawns, weeding and mulching landscape beds
- Trimming small trees, hedges and shrubs, removing unwanted, dead or damaged trees, planting shrubs, flowers and trees, watering gardens, lawns and landscapes
- Monitoring and maintaining plant health
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
- Frequent repetitive motions.
- Continuous standing and walking.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Maintain a professional demeanor and personal appearance.
- Punctual/arrive at work on-time.
- Ability to work longer hours if time sensitive jobs, tournaments, or weather demands.
