The Mother Baby unit at MountainView Hospital provides comprehensive care to pregnant women and their newborns. Our skilled nursing staff works collaboratively with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. We offer a range of services, including labor and delivery support, postpartum care, and lactation consulting.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for mother-baby patients
- Conduct thorough assessments of patient needs and develop strategies to address them
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Provide education and support to new mothers on postpartum care and breastfeeding techniques
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
- BSN degree required for new hires
- Current RN licensure in applicable state
- Minimum one year of experience in maternal-newborn nursing
- National Certification as a Certified Obstetric Nurse (RNC-OB) or APRN
