Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at MountainView Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing and evaluating the nursing care given to Oncology/BMT patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individual patient care plans in accordance with standards of nursing practice through implementation of the nursing process and nursing diagnosis.
- Administer medications as ordered for specific groups of patients and demonstrates knowledge of their modes of action, side effects and contraindications.
- Initiate, regulate and otherwise manage IV therapy for specific groups of assigned patients.
- Evaluate patient environment for safety and communicate identified concerns to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
- Provide patient education and keep patients informed of treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada.
- AACN National Certification preferred.
- Attend Trauma Informed Care course as directed by Manager/Director.
- Current BCLS certification from American Heart Association.
- ONS (Certification) required within 6 months of hire, transfer and/or currently in position (Oncology only).
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- Minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience in an area of specialty preferred.
