Ensures the successful execution of plant operations from a maintenance perspective , while ensuring procedures, people and resources are aligned to accomplish established goals in regards to quality, efficiency and safety. Provide technical support , industry expertise, encouragement and guidance to direct reports and the maintenance team promoting optimal plant performance. Ensure maintenance mechanics are utilizing the CMMS for work orders and preventive maintenance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide technical support , industry expertise, encouragement and guidance to direct reports and the maintenance team promoting optimal plant performance. Ensure maintenance mechanics are utilizing the CMMS for work orders and preventive maintenance.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Managing the maintenance, repair and improvement of physical systems and equipment within assigned areas of responsibility and cost control.
- Managing staffing, development, and performance management of mechanics.
- Monitoring and ensuring environmental metrics are met.
- Managing programs to ensure safety of people, premises and property and regulatory compliance.
- Complying with HR/ Safety policies and procedures including; verifying Kronos and Fusion activity, overseeing disciplinary action process, ensuring safety and certification training is completed on time.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant Maintenance field desired. Technical degree/training and/or relevant certifications in General Maintenance, Electrical and/or relevant experience.
- 5-7 years’ demonstrated maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment, must include successful track record managing 7-10 mechanics, including boiler mechanics.
- Experience will be considered in lieu of degree, previous rendering experience preferred, previous industrial manufacturing management experience required if no rendering experience.
- This position will require weekend, some holidays and may include night shift & day shift. This position will be exposed to hot and cold environments. This will be a hands on position working with the maintenance mechanics.
