Primary Purpose
Assemble frozen product as it exits the VRT system in preparation for storage in the freezer. Inspect and verify product correctness and determine if product is acceptable for shipment. Properly load trailers and/or containers in a timely manner. Consistently grade for damaged/mixed product or hazardous items responsible for potential issues or delays with outbound shipments.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure product is separated by product code, date, etc., prior to palletizing. Verify product is staged in a correct case count, product type and in acceptable condition to be shipped. Ensure all labeling, stamping, and/or special requirements are completed for the product to be shipped.
- Build pallets of like product neatly, removing any questionable cases. Inspect trailers/containers to ensure they are suitable for use.
- Calculate the number of cases per stack to fill the trailers properly.
- Scan the Pallet Identification Number for each pallet as it is loaded on the containers. Shrink-wrap pallets. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Follow all Company safety policies, S.O.P. regulations, as well as support Goal Zero mission statement.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months' experience in warehousing and/or logistics and some experience in a production environment preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented, have good organizational skills and to be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and computer skills are required.
- Must be able to continuously lift and move more than 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
- Must be able to use scanning equipment.
- Must have appropriate certification to be able to operate a pallet jack and/or forklift.
