Maintains feed delivery drivers, fleet and employee safety standards and ensure that vehicles are maintained properly. Corresponds with growers and maintains great grower service. Involved in new farm approvals, oversees the feed clerks, executes the Mountaire's feed ordering guidelines. Reviews TQS reports and ensures compliance with DOT, FDA and other governments agencies
Duties/Activities Required by Job
- Manage driver and feed ordering staff. Working with Grow out and Feed mills to ensure accurate and efficient deliveries. Working with the Transportation Department, Garage and outside vendors to ensure we have adequate & safe equipment.
- Record keeping includes all required state and federal documentation to ensure we are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulation related to grower settlements and the hauling of animal feeds over state and federal road systems. Regulatory : Ensure programs meet and depart are following all related regulatory requirements. These include OSHA, DOT, FSMA, Packer and Stockyards, etc. Compile operating reports to assess and analyze performance for all areas of responsibility; that includes results and plans for improvement on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Maintain good communication between, drivers, accounting and growers to ensure efficient scheduling and delivery of feed. Provide direction & support to team you manage to achieve operational & safety goals.
- Plan/manage Capital budgets, CER's. Innovation: Developing new procedures to improve safety, accuracy and production. Looking for new technologies that can improve our processes.
- Maintain all fleet and employees safety standards, promote compliance.
Educations/Experience Requirements
- High School or GED
- 5-7 yrs.
- Strong understanding of DOT, fleet maintenance, stockyard and packers. on the job training. Working knowledge of Excel, M-Tech(computer ordering program), OmniTracs(electronic log tracking), W.E.M(automated programming for mills and load outs in Frankford). and Kronos.
