What are the responsibilities and job description for the Feed Mill Quality Assurance Technician position at Mountaire Jobs?
Primary Purpose
Responsible for conducting quality control audits, ensuring the quality of incoming ingredients and outgoing products and maintaining all necessary records. Assuring the production of quality feeds from quality ingredients in a manner that is in accordance with procedures established by the Quality Assurance Manager, current good manufacturing practices (cGMP's) and state and federal regulations.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Recordkeeping of all FDA requirements.
- Daily quality testing of raw ingredients, such as proteins, fats, acid detergent fiber (ADF)/neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and moisture.
- Daily testing of finished feeds.
- Daily contact with production, the Plant Manager and the Feed Mill Manager.
- Conduct daily inventories.
- Must be able to work first shift, 6:00AM - 4:30PM.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 years' experience in manufacturing, preferably a Feed Mill.
- Familiar with FDA regulations.
- High attention to detail and accurate accounting.
