Primary Purpose
Responsible for transferring hatching eggs from farm racks to incubator racks and placing them in incubators per the egg set schedule.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Transfer hatching eggs from farm racks to incubator racks per the egg set schedule.
- Clean and disinfect egg rooms and incubator rooms.
- Set eggs from egg room into incubation equipment.
- Monitor condition of farm racks - “flag” any farm rack(s) in need of repair and place in farm rack repair area.
- Assist egg delivery drivers with unloading farm racks containing hatching eggs from trailer as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year working with live poultry.
- Basic math skills.
- Completion of all safety training, lockout-tagout and pallet jack certification.
- Continuous standing, walking, twisting, lifting, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling. Works in a hatchery environment.
