What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphics Print Operator position at Mountville?
JOB SUMMARY: M & A Matting is seeking someone to bridge the gap between administration and manufacturing within the Graphics Department. The candidate must have excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and a desire to continually learn new things. The position will include a training program to teach a full and complete understanding of large-format printer software and hardware, order and design applications, and art and color manipulation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Perform administrative and manufacturing tasks to ensure the customer is served in the best manner possible.
- Organize, operate, and maintain printers.
- Track and report inventory to Supervisor.
- Identify and make corrections to art.
- Match Pantone colors visually using 4-color process.
- Check orders for accuracy.
- Pull open order reports and keep knowledge of large open orders and rough status.
- Respond to internal emails regarding quality, priorities, order status, and ship dates in a reasonable time.
- Must be able to lift 50 lb rolls of material.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified candidates will, above all, possess a strong sense of urgency to produce quality products at a rapid pace. Candidates must excel in time management and multitasking, as well as have a degree of technical aptitude. We are seeking a team player with strong computer skills (Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel are a definite plus). A desire to learn and work independently and in a team environment is a must.
WORKING CONDITIONS: 1st shift hours (Monday – Friday 7 am to 3 pm) however, weekends and overtime may be required.
SALARY RANGE: Based on experience
