Position Summary
The Product Coordinator is responsible for helping coordinate and execute the product design and sampling process as well as the photography and videography for both the Matterly and WaterHog brands. Reporting to the Product Design Manager, the Product Coordinator's responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Product Design Assistance & Quality Assurance
Customizing all personalized item orders that are not part of automation (and helping check those orders that are automated); creating proofs for customized items as needed
Setting up new design files in Navigator
Taking WaterHog mold designs from concept to the final stages and uploading them to our external mold vendor or providing them to the internal mold team at P5
Creating additional sizes and finalizing print files for all new designs
Ensuring all internal samples, photo samples, and customer samples meet design requirements and are suitable for use as intended; working with the sales / customer service team to ship any customer samples originating from LaGrange
Photography Coordination & File Management
Helping coordinate and execute all photography and videography shoots, including the gathering of props and products (ensuring each one is in photo-quality condition)
Helping manage the post-production process with photographers and videographers and the transfer of files to Matterly and WaterHog
Editing, retouching, and color correcting photos and videos as needed
Maintaining and organizing our digital photo library, ensuring all assets are properly organized, tagged, archived, and easily accessible internally
Assisting team members in accessing and utilizing properly-sized photos for marketing materials, social media, and other promotional purposes; this includes working with an internal resource to ensure necessary photos make their way into our PIM (product information management) software for retailer use
Staying up-to-date with photography and home interior trends and best practices, and collaborating with the Product Design Manager and marketing team to effectively implement them with the goal of enhancing our visual marketing content
Helping to support our UGC efforts by working with end users and / or third-party platforms to build our library of user-generated content (UGC)
This role is based in our LaGrange, Georgia office (P1) for collaboration with the residential marketing team and proximity to the products and people that make Matterly successful. As many as 10 days per month "on location" may be necessary to assist with shoots.
Qualifications
This position requires a well-organized self-starter with a passion for visual content. The candidate must be a fast learner who can be trusted to manage projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, working proactively with minimal supervision.
Associate's degree in graphic design, photography, visual arts or similar, or four years of experience with graphics
Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (specifically between production and marketing).
An understanding of photography equipment, lighting techniques, and the ability to help achieve the desired "on brand" look for visual content
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment driven by deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail and a willingness to ensure things are done correctly
Transportation and a willingness to travel between LaGrange plants and regionally to shoots. Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively in an "on location" environment
Excellent interpersonal skills. The Mountville retail division is a small but mighty team, working closely together to achieve stretch goals.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive wage dependent upon experience / qualifications in the range of $20 to $22 per hour, based on experience
