Janitorial Team Leader
Hourly Pay Rate: Starting at $15.00/hr
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 5:00pm – 10:00pm; Friday 5:00pm – 1:00am
Role Overview
Moura’s Cleaning Service is hiring a Team Lead Cleaner to oversee and manage a cleaning team while performing general cleaning duties. This position combines leadership and hands-on responsibilities to ensure the highest cleaning and organizational standards are met
The Team Leader will supervise a designated team, provide training, and ensure tasks are completed efficiently, maintaining a clean and safe work environment
This position requires direct oversight of 2 locations - Beulaville, NC Monday through Friday, and on Fridays, the Team Leader is required to personally service a smaller satellite site located 24 minutes away in Wallace, NC. This service is limited to Fridays only and will require approximately 3 - 3.5 hours of on-site work
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of up to 5 team members to complete cleaning tasks
- Train team members on acceptable cleaning techniques and company policies
- Communicate productivity, safety, and quality standards while ensuring compliance
- Conduct inspections of assigned work areas to maintain quality standards
- Oversee the availability and proper use of supplies and equipment, ensuring they remain in good condition
- Maintain accurate records, including inspection reports, schedules, and safety documentation
- Report equipment concerns, accidents, and injuries promptly to the Area Manager
- Ensure cost control for labor, supplies, and equipment for the team
- Complete additional duties as assigned by the Area Manager
Basic Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience managing teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Flexibility to work non-standard schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills, punctuality, and reliability
- Positive attitude and motivation to meet goals independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in janitorial or cleaning services is a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a strong advantage
