Resort/Spa Housekeeper

• Working at Movara Fitness Resort is an incredible opportunity and we are looking for a rock star housekeeping professional to work in our housekeeping and resort cleaning department. Housekeepers are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department and laundry facility. You will report directly to the Housekeeping Manager and work collaboratively to ensure Movara has the best housekeeping department in the industry. We have an impeccable reputation for cleanliness and we will expect you to maintain that standard.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure cleanliness of rooms, hallways, lobbies and entire resort property, that all work is done properly and at an exceptional level.
• Perform frequent and consistent visual inspections of guest rooms and assigned public areas.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Able to deal and interact with management, employees, and guests in an effective and diplomatic manner
• The ability to anticipate guests' needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail.
• Knowledgeable of all cleaning procedures, equipment, and supplies.
• Strong leadership qualities and sound judgment with effective decision-making and problem solving skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and verbal forms
• Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
• Having a ‘whatever it takes’ attitude is imperative.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping/cleaning.
• Hotel experience is preferred.
• Organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints, within established deadlines and attention to detail.
• Must be flexible with working nights, weekends and holidays. Working Sundays will be required.
