What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Move NW (formerly Bekins NW)?
We are looking for an effective Warehouse Associate to direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing, and dispatch of a wide variety of products. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly, promptly, and accurately tracked electronically.
Responsibilities
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
- Utilize computer skills in Mover’s Suite/MS Warehouse to electronically record product move
- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and other third party vendors
- Plan work and assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
Skills
- Proven work experience in warehouse management
- Have comprehensive understanding of moving and storage operations including being proficient at packing and loading.
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
