Schedule: Weekdays, 40 hours/week, Full-Time

Compensation: $18-$22/hour plus benefits

Description, Responsibilities, & Tasks:
- Knowledge of basic medical billing practices and insurance claim filing.
- Knowledge of basic payer reimbursement rules and strategies.
- Professional communication skills and high level of quality customer service skills.
- Follow internal revenue collection procedures to submit claims and follow up with insurance companies and patients as needed.
- Work closely with front office managers to maintain efficiency in billing, follow procedures, and provide customer service to the Movement for Life team of clinics.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
- Responsible for striving to achieve established individual assigned targets/goals and department targets/goals.
- Reports to Claims Resolution Supervisor and Billing Director.
- Requesting missing and incomplete information from clinics to ensure preparation of clean outgoing claims.
- Answers questions of patients, insurance companies, and clinics.
- Follows and reports status of delinquent accounts. Follows processes and procedures as established by Claims Resolution Supervisor. Maintains and processes correspondence, appeals insurance denials.
- Performs various collection actions including contacting patients by phone, correcting and resubmitting claims, gathering documents to resubmit claims to insurance companies.
- Following up with aged insurance balances to effectively reduce accounts receivables.
- Professional communication with administrative and billing department colleagues, clinic employees, and patients.
- Providing feedback as requested by management.
- Participates in monthly billing meeting and claims resolution meetings.

All PTO accrues per pay period to equal these amounts annually. Additionally, we offer selected paid holidays.
