JOB DESCRIPTION
The human resource assistant provides assistance and facilitates the human resource processes at the administrative office. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Helps administer and coordinate new hire onboarding.
Helps administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. Assists with new-employee background checks and MVR records.
Helps with reconciles benefits statements.
Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
Assists with processing of terminations.
Assists with onboarding and yearly required training.
Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
Files documents into appropriate employee files.
Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.

Job Responsibilities Related to Patient Privacy
May access protected health information and other patient information only to the extent that is necessary to complete job duties. May only share such information with those who have a need to know specific patient information in order to complete job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other Company operations.
Encouraged and expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding the Company’s policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practices in violation of that policy to the designated Privacy Officer.
Expected to actively participate in Company privacy training.
Required to communicate privacy policy information to coworkers, students, patients and others in accordance with Company policy.
Comply with OSHA, federal and state regulations

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Experience with Payroll System ADP WorkforceNow.
