General Summary
Movement Schools is looking for a custodian who is able to work independently to complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks assigned to maintain a safe, orderly, and clean learning environment.
Daily:
- Vacuum small carpets in classrooms
- Sweep and mop
- empty trash cans and replace liners
- spot clean interior glass
- clean all entrance glass doors in and out
- clean kitchen cabinets and appliances exterior only
- Polish mirrors and all metal surfaces
- clean and polish all washbasins
- clean and disinfect all toilets and urinals
- mop floors using disinfectants,
- restock all paper products dispensers and soap
- turn off lights
- report all stopped up commodes and leaks
- pick up trash within 10 feet of the building along the sidewalks
- ensure all doors are shut and locked
Weekly:
- dust all high ledges picture frames and signage
- dust light fixtures using extension dusters
- dust horizontal and vertical surfaces
- wipe down railings and check for cobwebs
- wipe down workstations desk,
- Remove all the small spots and marks on the walls where possible
- Report issues like light bulbs, ceiling tiles needing to be replaced, broken items, other issues
Monthly:
- clean air vents and air ducts
- floor scrubbing hallways concrete floors and cafeteria floors
- Complete a variety of special projects including creating presentations, financial spreadsheets, special reports, and agenda material.
- Other additional and/or alternative duties as assigned from time to time, including supporting other departments or Executives as needed.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the Business Operations Director
