Role DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Medicine Physical Therapist & Performance Coach with a strong background in baseball to join our elite performance and rehab team. This role is designed for a dual-skilled professional passionate about optimizing athlete health, recovery, and performance through cutting-edge sports medicine, performance training, and biomechanical analysis.
Key Responsibilities:Physical Therapy & Injury Management- Perform comprehensive orthopedic and sports physical therapy evaluations.
- Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries with a sport-specific approach.
- Develop individualized rehabilitation programs with return-to-play planning.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, coaches, and trainers to ensure integrated care.
- Execute high-tech athlete assessments, including strength, mobility, power, and movement quality.
- Design and implement individualized strength & conditioning programs focused on athletic development and injury resilience.
- Lead performance training sessions with a focus on baseball athletes (high-school through professional levels).
- Utilize motion capture systems, force plates, and other technology to evaluate biomechanics and performance metrics.
- Interpret data to identify risk factors, optimize training, and track progress.
- Translate complex data into actionable plans for athletes, parents, and coaches.
- Identify early warning signs and risk factors for injury through movement screens and data analysis.
- Educate athletes on body mechanics, recovery, workload management, and performance strategies.
- Lead workshops or seminars for teams, parents, and organizations when needed.
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Physical Therapist (or eligible for licensure) in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum 2 years experience in sports physical therapy, preferably working with baseball athletes.
- CSCS, SCCC, or other recognized strength & conditioning certification strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of baseball-specific biomechanics and injury patterns.
- Hands-on experience with force plate technology, motion capture systems, and athlete monitoring tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a high-performance environment.
