Responsibilities:
- Conduct ongoing economic, financial, competitive, and pricing analysis at the corporate and branch levels.
- Support and enhance detailed pricing models that evaluate margins and price concession behavior activity.
- Proactively and routinely check and assess competitor pricing strategies to find opportunities to gain a competitive advantage and to improve the company’s volume and margin position through pricing adjustments or corporate or branch level campaigns.
- Work with executive level management to determine necessary changes to pricing structure or to set up promotional campaigns to drive volume.
- Set pricing margin strategies by market in coordination with sales leaders to drive volume and/or profitability goals.
- Generate regular executive level reports on pricing and volume performance, including profitability metrics, market share, and key trends.
- Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis to ensure product sales mix and margin meet the company’s goals and to improve performance where applicable.
- Support recurring touchpoints with the sales leaders to ensure alignment between selling partners and pricing team.
- Stay informed about and adhere to all relevant mortgage lending regulations, including guidelines on pricing practices.
Qualifications:
- 10 years in the mortgage industry.
- 5 years mortgage capital markets experience.
- 5 years’ financial modeling experience.
- Solid working knowledge of capital markets, pricing strategies and inputs.
- 2 years’ experience working with industry Product and Pricing engines.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling using spreadsheet software to analyze complex financial scenarios and to calculate loan profitability Market Analysis.
- Strong mathematical and statistical skills to analyze pricing metrics and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of current mortgage lending regulatory compliance regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate pricing strategies to various stakeholders, including sales teams, executive level management, and compliance officers.
- Knowledge and experience with project coordination/management methods preferred.
- Solid understanding of financial modeling
- Technical capabilities in Excel, DOMO (Business Intelligence platform), SQL, and Tableau.
- Ability to gain content knowledge quickly and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field needed.
- Managerial experience needed.
The expected salary range for this position is between:
$156,600.00 - $226,000.00
The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
