Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Product Engineering to lead and drive innovation within our engineering organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the development, design, and validation of automotive chassis components, shocks / struts, and brake systems for both OE (Original Equipment) and aftermarket solutions . The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large, cross-functional engineering teams and delivering high-performance products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and develop a large team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept through production launch , ensuring designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets for both OE and aftermarket applications .
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in product development, validation, and quality control.
- Collaborate with OEM and Tier 1 customers to align engineering strategies with market demands and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and optimize engineering solutions for aftermarket products , ensuring compatibility, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all engineering projects comply with industry standards (ISO, TS, IATF 16949, etc.) and safety regulations.
- Partner with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to optimize product design for cost efficiency and scalability.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines to drive on-time, high-quality product launches .
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in OE and aftermarket chassis, suspension, and braking systems .
