What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Quality Control position at Movement Search & Delivery?
SUMMARY
- Maintain the Companies’ Quality Policy to guarantee parts and processes meet expectations from raw materials to finished products in planning stages through production.
- This includes support of all companies’ facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct the Project Quality Development team
- Direct customer response and corrective action KPIs with operations teams. Take action where action is deemed to be insufficient.
- Direct the technical lab [Materials and CMM] to meet all needs of all groups for technical analysis of parts and fixtures.
- Maintain the dotted line organization with operations quality personnel.
- Conduct the monthly quality review meeting with executive and plant teams.
- Direct the presentation of results in monthly company quality meetings directed at all members in the organization.
- Act as the company customer quality assurance representative. Maintain technical standards.
- Monitor supplier performance through monthly KPI reports. Direct action based on results.
- Formulate, document, and maintain quality control procedures and ongoing quality control objectives.
- Maintain global company standards.
- Maintain department KPIs to meet the company plan.
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of MS Office Applications,
- AS400 experience ,
- Print reading,
- SPC,
- CMM (Polyworks 3d modeling, CAMx, PCDmis),
- Welding and Steel industry standards
- Ability to work in an open office environment,
- Fast-paced oversight and data gathering for all responsible areas.
- Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team environment. Possess a positive attitude and
- be a motivated self-starter.
- In-depth working knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes, and materials.
- Ability to lead others by example and mentoring to improve skill levels
EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field
- Minimum 5 years in a quality management role
- 5 years of managing within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (automotive, JIT preferred)
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
