Seeking an onsite Training Specialist to lead the learning and development efforts at a steel mill location, driving skill enhancement and organizational growth. This role involves assessing training needs, developing tailored content, managing the Learning Management System (LMS), and overseeing training execution. Additionally, the position supports broader HR initiatives to foster a well-rounded workforce development strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and enhance local learning and development programs.
- Identify training requirements and contribute to the creation of customized learning materials.
- Administer LMS functions, ensuring smooth integration with the Document Control System.
- Improve and manage the onboarding experience for new hires and transferred employees.
- Act as a point of reference for employees regarding training processes and LMS usage.
- Provide guidance to leadership on effective coaching and development strategies.
- Collaborate with Corporate Organizational Development to align local efforts with broader company objectives.
- Maintain training records and assess program effectiveness, recommending improvements when needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Current experience in Human Resources or Organizational Development with a focus on training initiatives.
- Proficiency in training facilitation and instructional design.
- Familiarity with learning trends, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (preferably Success Factors).
