What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Supervisor position at Movement Search & Delivery?
Salary Target :
- 100-115K base
- 15% bonus
- NADCAP and AS9100 experience is mandatory
- 3 years of supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing (machining, metal fab, assembly, etc.)
- Experience using ERP / MRP systems
- Ability to inspect complex machine parts.
- Formulate and maintain quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
- Interprets quality assurance philosophy to key personnel in organization.
- Designs and implements quality assurance training programs for key personnel in conjunction with managers.
- Determines required training for team, implements approved training plan, conducts training, and documents completed training.
- Partners with Operations Teams to deliver Quality related training to identified teams.
- Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
- Decides whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendor based on a review by the quality assurance engineer.
- Reviews all data obtained during all quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
- Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
- Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.
- Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities to include performance evaluations.
- Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
- Plays an active role on quality management teams within the organization.
- Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality.
- Possess good written / oral communications skills, as well as the ability to present his / her views in a clear and compelling manner. Positive can-do orientation. Able to deal effectively with a broad range of personalities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated project / team management capabilities that can meet aggressive deadlines.
- Strong facilitation skills, conflict resolution and project management skills.
- Interacts well and with a high degree of urgency with customers, and at all levels within the organization, as well as across organizations.
- Confidence in working with ambiguity and handling complexity.
- 3 years of Supervisory experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Experience in aerospace / fastener / metals manufacturing industries, with strong knowledge of all fastener materials preferred.
- Experience using ERP / MRP systems.
