Senior Buyer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in purchasing metal components, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement strategies. This role demands exceptional negotiation skills, a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, and a proven track record in sourcing and purchasing within the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for metal components to meet production and operational needs.
• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers, ensuring quality, price, and delivery expectations are met.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to optimize cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and material costs to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to align procurement efforts with organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding procurement and supplier management.
• Address and resolve issues related to supplier performance, quality, and delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier performance, and cost analyses.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on metal components in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of metal markets, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
