Senior Infrastructure Solutions Architect – Remote (Chicago Area Required)

You are a highly experienced infrastructure and networking professional with 7-10 years of expertise in infrastructure engineering, data center operations, or network architecture. You excel at designing, presenting, and implementing customized IT solutions while engaging with diverse stakeholders.
You are a subject matter expert in Network and Data Center technologies, with hands-on experience working with Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Dell, HPE, VMware, and Pure. Your deep technical knowledge allows you to leverage cutting-edge innovations to deliver future-proof solutions.
With a passion for continuous improvement, you stay ahead of emerging trends in cloud computing, automation (Ansible), and infrastructure management tools (VMs, OOB management, VPN).
About The Role
As a Senior Infrastructure Solutions Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise networking and infrastructure solutions. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will ensure solutions align with business objectives and industry standards, helping drive innovation, operational efficiency, and digital transformation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop scalable infrastructure architectures focusing on data center, cloud, virtualization, and advanced networking technologies.
- Create client proposals, architectural diagrams, and statements of work aligned with compliance requirements.
- Lead client discovery sessions, assess current environments, and recommend optimized solutions.
- Serve as a technical expert supporting sales teams in proposals, RFP responses, and solution demonstrations.
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies, focusing on network optimization, security, and automation.
- Provide cross-technology guidance to ensure holistic and well-integrated system designs.
- Maintain strong client relationships, delivering best-in-class infrastructure solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of Pre-Sales experience in a client-facing technical role.
- 7-10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, network architecture, or data center operations.
- Proven expertise in leading infrastructure solutions across top vendors: Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Dell, HPE, VMware, Pure, etc.
- Strong ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders in designing and presenting solutions.
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible) and infrastructure management tools (VMs, VPN, OOB management).
- Exceptional time management, communication, and documentation skills.
- Commitment to security compliance and ongoing security awareness training.
Location & Work Arrangement
- 100% Remote – Must be located in Chicago, IL area.
Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
