What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior System Engineer position at Movement Search & Delivery?
Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a global, publically traded aerospace component client going through substantial growth. They are looking to expand in several groups and have an open Senior Systems Engineer role.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Capture, develop, & maintain system & subsystem level feature/functional requirements from customers
- Develop product system and sub-system architecture meeting Safety and performance requirements
- Technical leader & primary point of contact for Certification activities (as per ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-254)
- Produce & maintain project data, planning, requirements, design, validation, verification, & certification data
- Lead and participate in peer review of documents and maintain records of review/action item status
- Create and strive for continuous process improvements for system engineering
- Maintain configuration management of the requirements in a controlled environment primarily using DOORS
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other aerospace Engineering discipline
- Minimum of 7 years of experience
- Proven System Engineering experience in full life cycle design or military and civil avionics, systems and avionics components
- Understanding of avionics systems architecture with emphasis on aircraft installations and operations, human factors design, aircraft digital data buses and protocols, analog and digital system interfaces and modern aircraft system architecture
- Experience in the development of Requirements Documents, Design Descriptions and or System Verification Cases and Procedures
- Intimate knowledge of ARP4754A, DO-178C and DO-254 a plus
- Certification experience to industry processes STC, TC, and TSO a plus
- Experience in requirements management, preferably using DOORS
- Ability to self-direct and self-motivate, work in a multidisciplinary team with only general directions, prioritize work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Salary : $150,000 - $185,000
