JOB SUMMARY
As a Fitness Instructor at Movement Climbing, Yoga, & Fitness, you will be charged with planning and executing classes in a safe, efficient, and attentive manner. Every instructor will work in partnership with other team members and the gym leadership to create and maintain excellent offerings that well-serve the members and guests of Movement Climbing, Yoga, & Fitness. Fitness instructors report to the Fitness Program Manager.
We are also looking for Zumba, Mat Pilates, Les Mills, and other group fitness modalities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide exceptional customer experience
- Teach high quality fitness classes with a focus on improving strength, flexibility, mobility, and stability
- Teach a safe, educational, and professional class
- Accommodate different levels of fitness and abilities by offering options and modifications appropriate to participants and using effective cueing
- Develop a following of loyal participants / maintain strong attendance in classes, including but not limited to:
- Build relationships with class participants
- Partner with leadership to market classes
- Maintain accurate attendance records
- Create a welcoming, clean, organized, and comfortable class environment
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Nationally recognized Group Exercise cert and/or certified personal training cert.
- 1 years successful teaching experience in group fitness (equivalent of 100 hours teaching experience)
- Can implement a variety of teaching strategies to meet wide variety of needs
- Demonstrated ability to build a following and maintain strong class attendance
- Ability to work peak hours and participate in rotating schedule of community outreach
- Ability to complete administrative duties associated with classes
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- This is a part time position
- Starting at $28.00/hr, with flexibility based on experience
