Position Overview:
Moveras is seeking a skilled and reliable Dynamometer Machine Operator to join our 2nd Shift team. This role is critical to our quality control process and involves operating and maintaining dynamometer equipment to test automatic transmissions under load. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor dynamometer machines to test remanufactured automatic transmissions.
- Interpret test parameters and results to ensure compliance with performance standards.
- Record test data accurately and report any anomalies or failures.
- Perform pre- and post-test inspections of transmissions.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on test equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to address testing issues and improve processes.
- Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in automotive or mechanical systems preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience operating a dynamometer or similar testing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of automatic transmission systems.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment interface.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work 2nd shift and occasional overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a remanufacturing or automotive testing environment.
- Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
