What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Movers and Drivers position at MoveUp Consulting?
Moving Team Six are looking for a Mover/Driver to join our team and help load and unload furniture and other items between various locations. The position include the following
Responsibility:
- Loading, packing and unloading items with care
- Ensuring that no items are damaged while moving
- Wrapping furniture in protective material
- Deliver and set-up furniture inside client homes, as required or requested
- Respond to inquiries and requests from clients in a professional manner
- Collect furniture from residential or commercial locations
- Protect all donated furniture from damage through established best practices
- Collect payments and issue receipts
- Assist clients with loading and unloading their luggage
- Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
- Regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle

Pay Structure & Benefits:
- $1500 Sign on Bonus, paid out over the course of 6 Months.
- Driver: $19.00-23.00/hr. Tips
- Movers: $17.00-20.00/hr. Tips
Requirements and skills:
- Proven work experience as a Mover or similar role
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects throughout the day
- Punctual and professional attitude
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Mover
- Valid Driver’s License ( for driver position)
- Clean Driving Record
- Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
- Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
- Proven experience as a Driver
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
- A high school qualification or equivalent would be preferable
