Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, countertops, and equipment.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting cooks and catering staff during busy periods.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes in dining areas to ensure a tidy environment.
- Follow all food handling safety guidelines to maintain hygiene standards.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a banquet, restaurant, or catering environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and food handling practices is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others in the kitchen as needed.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
