What are the responsibilities and job description for the Addiction Counselor-LCDC II or Higher position at Moving Forward Residential?
Minimum requirement: LCDC II or higher licensure and preference of 1 year experience as Addiction Counselor, and must be able to pass a background check. Preferred experience with CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Process groups.
1. Conducts individual counseling sessions, under supervision, as scheduled and documents as required.
2. Conducts group/family sessions, under supervision, as scheduled and documents as required.
3. Maintains Individual Treatment Plans for each assigned client.
4. Ensures all documentation regarding client care, treatment, and incidents are completed timely and in a clear/concise manner.
5. Provides crisis intervention to client as needed.
6. May plan for aftercare for assigned clients.
7. Evaluates client needs and helps determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed.
8. Knowledgeable in level of care development.
9. Knowledgeable with the development and review/updating of treatment planning and Level of Care.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
