Job Title: Dispatcher/Warehouse Supervisor
Position Summary:
The Dispatcher/Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising driver’s at assigned warehouse location, overseeing proper fleet, warehousing, and inventory control for the purpose of delivering and / or picking up various types of copier machines to include dispatching routes to drivers for pick-ups and deliveries. This requires using excellent communication skills, organizational skills, customer service skills and compliance with Metro Office Equipment INC. DBA Moving Office Equipment (MOE) policies and standards.
Hours:
Monday – Friday preferred hours 8am-5pm
**Working early/late hours, weekends and/or holidays may be required in order to successfully meet customers’ needs.
Salary:
Based on experience in managment, disptaching and within logisitics trucking industry
Pay is weekly on Fridays by direct deposit
Direct Supervisor:
Safety and Compliance Manager – Driver/Warehouse/Fleet Related Issues
Lead Dispatch Supervisor – Dispatch/Route Issues
Human Resources – Payroll/Compliance Issues & Hiring/Termination
Responsibilities:
· Operate and be proficient on a smart phone, tablet and MOE computer software and programs.
· Conduct Interviews / Pre-Hire / New Hire / Trainings as instructed and needed
· Supervise/Educate/Train/Discipline drivers as needed – notify HR and/or Operations Manager prior to conducting any discipline.
· Review and Submit IL driver expense sheets, BOL, and misc paperwork weekly
· Ensure Drivers are adhering to the Driver Job Description – see driver job description
· Drive/run routes if company is behind or short drivers – See driver description; this position will require you to hold DOT medical cert and valid drivers license as you may work in the role as a driver when needed.
· Assist drivers with break downs, repairs, and maintenance.
· Assist with repairs and maintenance of MOE vehicles and property.
· Ensures effective utilization of warehouse areas and observes proper loading, unloading, stocking and safekeeping of items to maintain the quality of copiers and accessories to prevent product damage and avoid occurrence of pilferage, accidents and occupational hazards.
· Create and update routes within the MOE portal for sales reps and drivers to see
· Assign route/schedules within appropriate time windows.
· Inventory counts to be turned in weekly to operations in GA location
· Immediately resolves inventory discrepancies and/or notify Dispatcher Supervisor and/or Sales Rep of any deviations or problems.
· Verify drivers have delivered or picked up freight with customer and obtained proper signatures.
· Ensure drivers contact dispatch for authorization when discrepancies on BOL or Return Authorization (RA) are found and communicate/educate/discipline on any errors identified.
· Assist with properly loading/unloading and secure all freight on truck or trailer.
· Unload freight from truck or trailer, by hand and place in designated customer storage areas. May include transporting freight down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions.
· Frequently lift, push, pull, or move freight that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 700 pounds; constantly bending and twisting while loading and unloading freight, and retrieving items from the truck or trailer.
· Follow MOE preferred work methods at all times, and immediately advise operation manager of any unsafe conditions/concerns.
· If no routes are available for your drivers, warehouse work may be assigned per the direct supervisor/dispatcher
· Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to hand trucks, pallets jacks, load bars, fork lift, and personal protective equipment.
· Attend and complete all required company meetings/trainings.
· Maintain valid driving license and DOT physical requirements in order to operate motor vehicle
· Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred Qualifications:
· High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent
· Experience in managing or supervising others
· Meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company.
· Demonstrate strong customer relations and problem resolution skills.
· Effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision.
· Develop a good working knowledge of copiers. Able to detach a finisher from a copier and in some cases disassemble and assemble large copiers.

· Extended work hours, working weekends and holidays, and starting at various early morning start times and or ending your day late are required.
· Driving and Operating a motor vehicle
· Frequently lift, push, pull, or move freight that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 700 pounds
· Frequently reach up to 36 inches to stack and unstack printers.
· Constantly bend and twist while loading and unloading freight, and retrieving items from truck or trailer.
· At times, transport freight down or up ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions.
