We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a positive store environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment and are passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences. Previous U-HAUL dealer rental experience preferred

Duties

- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
- Process customer transactions, operate cash registers, and handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain store appearance by ensuring shelves are fully stocked, merchandise is properly displayed, and the store is clean and organized.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to increase sales and meet sales targets.
- Develop product knowledge and maintain awareness of promotions, sales, and new products.
- Handle customer returns and exchanges promptly and professionally.
- Assist with visual merchandising, including setting up displays and arranging merchandise.
- Perform other duties as required, including stocking shelves, cleaning, and supporting other team members.

Skills

- Basic math skills to accurately handle cash and credit transactions.
- Experience working in a grocery store or retail sales environment.
- Strong skills in sales, customer service, and cash handling.
- Ability to upsell and cross-sell products to meet sales targets.
- Proficiency in stocking shelves and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and adapt to changing situations.

- Familiarity with cash registers and ability to operate them efficiently and accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction. VALID DRIVERS LICENCE REQUIRED

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $15.25 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
